Opal is a beautiful tortoiseshell tabby that came from a hoarding situation in North Phoenix when she was around 9 months old. As is common in hoarding environments, she did not have much contact with new people and as a result was extremely shy and distrustful. We worked to socialize her and as time went on, she became a little more outgoing and will now allow people she knows to pet her, if she’s in the mood. She is very happy living at the sanctuary and we’re happy to provide her a safe home.
