Demi came to Wayward Cats from Apache Junction Animal Control when he was just a few weeks old. He was a very typical kitten with lots of energy, always running around chasing other kittens until he was exhausted and then crashing for a nap. It was long before we noticed that there was sometime different about him. He would suddenly stop and stare into space and hiss at nothing and after a few seconds he would snap out of it and look at you like he was asking what the heck happened. It turned out that he was having mini seizures which made him unadoptable. As he got older the seizures increased in severity and he would occasionally have a full-blown convulsion. He’s now on a daily dose of phenobarbital to prevent him from seizing.
