About US
My wife Jackie and I have been involved with cat rescue in Arizona since 2005, first with Arizona Animal Rescue and Sanctuary (AZARS) and then in 2009 as founding members of Desert Paws Rescue. As the rescue grew, there were an increasing number of cats and kittens that for various reasons were unadoptable. There was an urgent need to provide a place for these unadoptable and special needs cats where they could live their lives in a safe and peaceful environment. In 2014, we started our own 501-c-3 non-profit called “Hadley Home for Wayward Cats” with the mission of providing a safe-haven or sanctuary for these unwanted cats and kittens.

Ways to support our cat sanctuary
Be a Donor, Adopt a Cat, Be a Hero
Be a Donor
Providing a forever home for wayward cats comes at a cost that can be counted in thousands of dollars when emergency veterinary visits are suddenly necessary and urgent.
By becoming a recurring donor of the amount of your choice, you provide the sanctuary a reliable source of income that allow them to plan ahead of time for these cases.
Adopt a Cat
Most of our cats are available for adoption.
By stepping up and becoming a cat parent, you not only give your home to some of our sanctuary cats, you also allow us to have more room to rescue the next cats who will cross our path.
If you lost a cat, along with our condolences, we can open the doors of our sanctuary to give you some kitty love to help heal the pain of loss.
Be a Hero
Regardless if you are able to donate or adopt, there is still something that you can do that is of immense value to the sanctuary:
Spread the word! Share our newsletter with your email list and your social media followers.
Let people know that you are involved in making the world a better place for our cats as well.
Meet our sanctuary cats
They all have a story,
and their story matters as much as your story.
Our mission
What we do
At Hadley Home For WayWard Cats, we are focused on providing a new beginning for unadoptable cats who might otherwise be euthanized.
We provide a safe, loving foster environment for rehabilitation and medical needs, and provide them with their forever homes.
Adoption
How It Works
Talk With Us
Giving a forever home to a special needs cat requires a few important elements to be discussed about, such as the environment, the love and care, the financial ability to keep up with medical costs, and more.
Fall in Love
You don't pick any cat. You come to the sanctuary, and you let the cats feel you out and choose you as their forever parent. Sometimes it takes more than one visit to allow our cats to fall in love with you.
Then comes the question if you want to choose them and if you're ready to assume all the responsibility and receive all the love and presence this (these) cat(s) have to offer.
Allow Time to Adjust
Do not expect every cat to be fine with change. They need an adjustment time spanning from a few days to a few weeks, and even to a few months in some cases.
Allow your new adoptees the time they need to adjust and to feel comfortable in their new environment.
